Our purpose is to elucidate the biological and biomechanical mechanisms underlying musculoskeletal disease and disorder or neuro-musculoskeletal functions. We use the multimodal research approach.
In biological research, we investigate many types of rodent animal models and cell lines. By using morphological, histological, and molecular biological analysis, we challenge to reveal the mechano-biological principles governing musculoskeletal healing, development, and functions.
In human movement science research, we use a 3D motion analysis system, wireless surface EMG, force plate, force plate embedded treadmill, and motor unit decomposition sensors. Our focus is the neuromuscular systems as a basis of human movement functions.
Our main goal is to provide fundamental scientific insight into musculoskeletal and neuro-musculoskeletal functions.
We hope our research makes a difference in human health science.
